Devine Mulvey Longabaugh won three top Reed Awards from Campaigns & Elections for its work on Andre Dickens for Atlanta Mayor, for the Democratic National Committee, and Tim Adams for Maryland Comptroller. DML won best longform online video, best TV ad for a Mayoral Campaign, and best TV ad for Public Affairs.
We won best Mayoral Campaign TV Ad for "10,000 Lights'', our spot for Andre Dickens in Atlanta, GA–the largest Mayoral margin of victory in Atlanta history. Crime was the #1 issue for voters. Our plan: show that Mayor Dickens would be smart on crime by hiring 1,000 officers–trained in violence de-escalation–and installing 10,000 new street lights.
The award for best TV ad for Public Affairs was given to our ad America's Coming Back for the Democratic National Committee. We highlighted the Biden Administrations successes at the start of his presidency of rolling out the initial phase of the covid-19 vaccination campaign. Soundtrack provided by John Legend.
Our ad for the Tim Adams campaign told his story: from growing up six to a bed in New Orleans to owning one of the top Black-owned businesses in America. It received the Reed award for best longform online video.
